Privacy policy
This site is generated as static HTML, CSS and JavaScript files. There is no backend, no database and no user accounts. This page explains exactly what that means for your data.
We do not collect, transmit or store personal information. Every calculator runs in your browser. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising scripts and no third-party trackers on this site.
1. What we collect
Nothing. This site has no server-side component that accepts or stores data. The contact form validates your input in the browser and then discards it; nothing is transmitted anywhere. Newsletter sign-up boxes behave the same way.
2. Calculators and utilities
All calculators, the cut optimizer, the wood database filters and the workshop bench simulation run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type are held in memory for as long as the page is open and are discarded when you close or reload it. If you use the download or print buttons, the file is generated locally on your device.
3. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's local storage. There is no session tracking, no preference persistence and no fingerprinting.
4. Third-party services
There are none. The pages load no external fonts, no content delivery networks, no analytics platforms, no social media widgets and no advertising networks. All typography, icons and illustrations are either system fonts or original SVG generated for this site, so no request leaves the page once it has loaded.
5. Server logs
If this site is served by a web host, that host may keep standard access logs recording IP addresses and requested URLs as part of normal operation. That is a function of the hosting infrastructure, not of this site's code, and we do not have access to or make use of those logs.
6. Children
This site is not directed at children and contains content about power tools and workshop practice. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored, there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will investigate.
8. Educational disclaimer
Everything published on this site is general educational information. Tool specifications, measurements, calculator outputs and safety guidance are starting points for your own work, not instructions. Verify against your tool manufacturer's manual, your material datasheet and your own measurements before making any cut. You are responsible for your own safe working practice.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page. Because no data is collected, any change is unlikely to affect you.
